Welcome,

The Daily Pennsylvanian has been the University of Pennsylvania’s paper of record for 124 years. Through a partnership between the University of Pennsylvania Libraries and the DP, that rich history will now be made fully accessible online.

Over the course of the next three years, the DP’s archives will be scanned or photographed, indexed, and put online. Searching for past articles and issues will take seconds. And it will be possible to see the content as it was actually printed, complete with photos and graphics.

The project will make research about Penn dramatically easier. Digitization will also preserve the archives with a permanence that microfiche and newsprint simply do not have.

Please take a look around this website for more information about the project and how to get involved. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions!

All the best,
David Lei
