How to Help

The Daily Pennsylvanian and Penn Libraries, welcome the support of individuals, families, and Reunion Classes for this ambitious project. To digitize the entire print run of the DP from 1885 to the present, some 125,000 pages of material will be scanned, processed, and archived. At an estimated cost of $5 per page, the total project cost comes to $625,000.

We are grateful for the initial gift commitment to launch this initiative that was made by Penn Libraries Overseer, Ed Mally W’83, and his wife Julia Lang Mally W’83. We are pleased to report that the Class of 1979 has also adopted this project as part of their reunion year fund raising efforts.

Supporting the DP Digitization Project:

  • – A gift of $100,000 allows the donor to sponsor an academic year of their choice, plus twenty additional years to be chosen by the Libraries.
  • – A gift of $50,000 allows the donor to sponsor an academic year of their choice, plus an additional 6 years to be chosen by the Libraries.
  • – A gift of $7,500 allows the donor to sponsor an entire academic year.  The year will be chosen by the Libraries.
  • – A gift of any size is always welcome, and will support the overall project goals.
